CONSERVATION SCIENCE talk SERIS 01
Topic
Alpine shrubs under warming climate in the Nepal Himalayas
Highlights
- Declining shrub recruitment and stable shrublines over the recent decades
- Decrease in vegetation greenness during the past three decades
- Shrub growth is mainly limited by moisture availability in pre-monsoon season
Dr. Shalik Ram Sigdel, Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, will give talk on Alpine shrubs under warming climate in the Nepal Himalayas based on his recently published pioneering works.
